Start with the amount the job needs
A large coil is not always the right purchasing unit for a small cladding package. CladdingMart supplies baby aluminium coils according to customer requirements, allowing a smaller order instead of a full parent coil. The useful comparison is the amount you expect to consume, the amount left over and the total quoted cost.
Three formats to compare
| Format | Useful when | Confirm in the offer |
|---|---|---|
| Baby coil | You need a project-based smaller quantity or separate coils for different work fronts. | Length or weight per coil, width, quantity tolerance and preparation charges. |
| 100 ft roll | Your schedule suits a standard nominal roll length. | Width, thickness, finish, backing and roll count. |
| Full coil | Your workshop has ongoing demand for the same specification. | Net coil weight, core, handling capacity and storage requirements. |
Quantity is not the same as cutting yield
Smaller quantities can reduce material left unused after the job. Cutting waste also depends on width, the shape of the cut pieces, laps and your cutting layout. Share the finished cutting sizes and planned allowances with your enquiry. Do not assume that a smaller coil automatically eliminates offcuts.
Ask for comparable prices
Use the same alloy, temper, thickness, width, finish and moisture-retarder requirement when requesting offers. Ask whether pricing is per kilogram, roll or square metre. Include preparation, packing and delivery when comparing the final amount payable.
Your enquiry checklist
- Required length or weight per coil and number of coils.
- Metal specification, finish and backing.
- Core-size or maximum coil-weight constraints.
- Delivery emirate, location and requested date.
