Start with the material schedule and drawings
Accessories depend on the insulation type, substrate, jacket metal, thickness, operating conditions and installation detail. Use the approved project specification and drawings as the source of quantities. This checklist helps identify the supporting items to include in the quotation request.
Secure the outer jacket
- Stainless steel banding in the specified grade, width, thickness and roll length.
- Matching buckles, wing seals or clips suited to the selected band dimensions.
- Tensioning tools and cutters suitable for the selected banding system.
- Screws, rivets or other specified jacket fasteners compatible with the materials.

Retain and support the insulation
Review insulation pins, speed washers, support rings, clips, springs and mesh where they are called for by the approved system. Confirm substrate, metal grade, pin length, washer size, spacing and installation method against the drawings. Do not estimate pin spacing from a generic catalogue description.

Close joints and weather the system
List the specified jacket sealants, tapes, vapour-control mastics, membranes, films, adhesives and reinforcing materials. Confirm substrate compatibility, service temperature, exposure limits and installation instructions for each offered product. A roll of tape or a bead of sealant is not a substitute for a designed vapour-control detail.

Build a comparable enquiry
For each item, state product description, material grade, dimensions, unit, quantity, pack size and project document requirements. Add the work-front delivery location and requested date. Ask the supplier to identify any proposed equivalent or deviation clearly.
